Consultancy Services
Alongside its pilot projects, the Centre carries out consultancy services for government and private organisations in all aspects of renewable energy. Prominent among these was the feasibility report on the use of solar energy for the Jigawa State Government in 1994; on the strength of the report submitted, the State decided to convert its entire borehole scheme from diesel-powered to solar-powered operation.
The Centre was also commissioned in 2003 by the Education Trust Fund to serve as consultant for solar electrification projects in fifteen schools across the country. Furthermore, the Centre has undertaken consultancy services for UNESCO, UNDP, UNIDO and PHCN.
